Skip the filler

One Piecewatch order 2026

· The anime is on Crunchyroll in most regions. The live-action series is on Netflix. Films rotate between rental and streaming.

One Piece does not need a timeline reshuffle. It needs a filler map. The anime has followed the manga in order since 1999, with anime-original stretches dropped between canon arcs. Skip filler is the beginner path and the completionist path. The only real choice is whether you stop at the end of the first half.

Episode numbers below follow the Japanese broadcast. A recap on either edge of a range can be skipped without losing plot. Elbaph is still airing as of October 19, 2026. The movies are almost all non-canon and sit in their own section. The Netflix live-action series is a retelling, not chapter one of the anime.

Every canon saga, none of the anime-original arcs. This is the recommended first watch from East Blue through Elbaph.

FAQ

Before you press play

What is the best One Piece watch order for beginners?

Watch the canon anime from East Blue through the Post-War arc (about episode 516), skipping every filler block. If you are still in, continue through Fish-Man Island all the way to Elbaph on the Skip filler tab.

Which One Piece episodes are filler?

The long ones people actually mean are Warship Island (54–60), the post-Alabasta run (131–143), G-8 (196–206), Ocean's Dream (220–224), Ice Hunter (326–336), Spa Island (382–384), Little East Blue (426–429), and the short movie tie-ins inside later arcs. They are separate rows on Release order.

Are the One Piece movies canon?

Almost none of them. Strong World, Film Z, Gold, Stampede, and Film Red are optional. Do not wait on a movie before starting Wano or Egghead.

How far has the anime gotten in 2026?

Egghead ended in 2025. Elbaph began in April 2026 and is still airing as of October 19, 2026. Ranges can shift by a recap episode.
